About MKH

Founded in 2006 by Ustaz Pasuni Maulan, then Chairman of Masjid Tentera Di Raja, in collaboration with Pristine Medical Clinic, Mudik Ke Hulu is a community-driven initiative that provides safe and subsidized tattoo removal for Muslim individuals in Singapore.

With the support of MUIS, the programme aspires to expand its reach while continuing to receive strong encouragement from the wider Malay/Muslim community.

Since its inception, Masjid Tentera Di Raja has welcomed nearly 900 participants into the Mudik Ke Hulu programme. Participation trends have remained consistently encouraging over the years.

In 2026, MKH reached a significant milestone with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Skin Centre (NSC). This partnership strengthens our clinical ecosystem and expands access to safe, high-standard tattoo removal care. Participants now have the option to receive treatment at either Pristine Medical Clinic or NSC, based on suitability and preference, while remaining supported under MKH's structured programme and subsidy framework.

In conjunction with MKH20, Mudik Ke Hulu also launched its Regional Hub Expansion Plan as a key initiative under the MKH20 Strategic Framework. The first milestone of this initiative was the establishment of the MKH East Hub through a strategic partnership with Masjid Haji Mohd Salleh. As MKH's first regional mosque partner, the East Hub strengthens our presence in the eastern region and serves as a foundation for future collaborations with other mosques. Through this hub-and-spoke model, MKH aims to progressively expand its programmes and services across the East, making structured rehabilitation, guidance, and tattoo removal support more accessible to the wider community.

As demand continues to grow, we remain committed to upholding the highest standards of quality, service, and care. Through strategic partnerships, regional expansion, and continuous programme development, we strive to ensure every participant receives the support, guidance, and treatment they deserve while building a stronger, more inclusive community for future generations.
